The MD of Acadia will endeavor to keep up to date local information relating to the global COVID-19 pandemic posted to this page.
Municipal Information
The MD of Acadia has indefinitely closed the following facilities to the public in line with prohibitions put in place by the Chief Medical Officer of Health
- Acadia Valley Event Center
- Acadia Valley Curling Rink
- Acadia Valley Community Hall
- Acadia Valley Fire Hall
The following events have been rescheduled:
- The public auction scheduled for March 25, 2020 has been rescheduled to July 8, 2020.
- The public meeting scheduled for June 3, 2020 has been cancelled.
The MD of Acadia is constantly reviewing Provincial guidelines and restrictions in determine what facilities can be opened, and additional precautions that need to be taken to support public safety.
As of May 25, 2020 , Provincial guidelines indicate that recreation centres and arenas will reopen in Stage 3 of Alberta’s Relaunch Strategy. Recreation centres includes facilities such as the Acadia Valley Community Hall.
Marshall Field Campground Information
Utility Billing
In order to support Provincial efforts to lessen the financial strain, utility payments can be deferred. Billing will still occur, and no interest will be charged on current charges until June 1, 2020.
