Please visit the links below for any information that is being provided by Provincial and Federal health authorities. The information available on these sites includes, but is not limited to current restrictions put in place by the respective authorities, precautions to assist in containing the virus, and information on what to do if you have recently returned from travelling.

The MD of Acadia has indefinitely closed the following facilities to the public in line with prohibitions put in place by the Chief Medical Officer of Health

  • Acadia Valley Event Center
  • Acadia Valley Curling Rink
  • Acadia Valley Community Hall
  • Acadia Valley Fire Hall
  • MD of Acadia Municipal Office

Other facilities have been closed or restricted by other authorities, these include:

  • Warren Peers School
  • Acadia Valley Municipal Library

The following events have been rescheduled:

  • The public auction scheduled for March 25, 2020 has been rescheduled to May 20, 2020.
  • The public meeting scheduled for April 8, 2020 has be rescheduled to June 3, 2020.

Utility Billing

In order to support Provincial efforts to lessen the financial strain, utility payments can be deferred. Billing will still occur, and no interest will be charged on current charges until June 1, 2020.

Effective March 24th, 2020 the MD of Acadia Municipal Office will be closed to the public. MD staff are still working, and will be available via telephone or e-mail. Please call us at 403-972-3808 or email at md34@mdacadia.ab.ca.
